O-lens went out with a bang—dropping a lineup of lenses designed by well-known creators and hand-picked by NewJeans (NJZ) members themselves. But is the hype worth it? Here’s my honest take on comfort, design, and overall wearability.
Review
Moisture축축함 // Comfortability 편안함 :
Let’s get this out of the way—yes, OLENS lenses are pretty, but many of them tend to dry my eyes out over time. Most of the designs here use HEMA material, which doesn’t retain moisture as well. If they had used PUSCON, it would’ve made a big difference for long wear.
That said, Muse, Fairy Charm, and Moonrise are FDA and KFDA approved, which means they’re safer bets for your eyes.

Jooshica’s ash-white highlight design definitely pops in photos—it’s fierce and striking. If you want something that catches the light and screams “Instagram ready,” Muse is your girl.
🔸 Graphic Design 그래픽 디자인 : Beautiful in photos, but I don’t love how highlight lenses look for daily wear. It’s just not my thing outside of taking selfies or content shots. A bit too bold for casual days.

This collaboration with Michelle Phan comes in Fawn Brown, Dew Gray, and Mauve Pink. I tried Dew Gray, and… well, let’s talk.
🔸 Graphic Design 그래픽 디자인: Picked by NJZ’s Danniel. On paper, it looks amazing—but in real life, these lenses shift around a lot. When they aren’t perfectly aligned, they make your eyes look strange. Constantly adjusting them isn’t just inconvenient—it’s unhygienic too.
📝 Side Note: I’m honestly surprised OLENS is still working with Michelle Phan, given her long list of controversies over the years (easily found online, though often brushed aside). While I’m not here to make this post about that, it did make me feel conflicted about supporting this collab.

A whimsical colour palette that feels like it came out of a fantasy novel—there’s something really enchanting about this one.
🔸 Graphic Design 그래픽 디자인: Love the concept, love the colour, but again—same issue as Moonrise. They need constant adjusting. I don’t want to worry about my eyes looking off-centre all the time. Not fun.

Haerin seems to have a knack for picking great lenses. Realish is simple, stylish, and gives a clean, fresh look.
🔸 Graphic Design 그래픽 디자인: Definitely my favourite of the bunch. It doesn’t shift, it’s not over-the-top, and it still gives you that subtle enhancement. A bit plain? Sure. But I’ll take peace of mind over fancy highlight rings any day.
