Review| Olens 2026 New Muse – Meovv & New Lenses

New Mvse!

Olens x Meovv

New Year New Muse! This year, the brand new muses are from the girl group named Meovv. I haven’t really heard of them but the visuals do look good with the product photos.

Olens also came out with some new lenses and it seems like they are focusing heavily on the ‘highlight’ theme.

Review

First, I want to preface this by saying:- with all my love and respect, I am writing this in the best interest for the brand as a consumer and a long term devotee.

I have been wearing Olens for years, I strongly believe that I should have enough credentials to say this: It’s 2026, will Olens’ R&D start pushing further than where we are? I feel that Olens is currently very comfortable with their existing formula, i.e.: change a new muse every year, release a few lines that are familiar and/or reused pattern but with some minor adjustments, re-hype Puscon as their best material for lenses, etc. It’s like they are stuck in a comfort zone that they somehow managed to create throughout the years.

Look, I believe Olens has positioned themselves really good throughout these years as one of the top tiered brands with good quality lenses on a global level. If you search for a good brand of contact lenses, you will always see this brand appear. I wouldn’t say that they are 100% the best because there are still some hit and miss for certain people, but you will 100% see this brand pop up in at least 10/20 comments for sure.

However, with innovation advancing in every few months, it can be tiring to see the same formula for every year. Whilst it made sense to change up the Muses for some fresh faces, I simply would not buy Glowy or any highlight-themed product because it wouldn’t stop  spinning. This sentiment became stronger when I was trying to take some photoshoot while wearing them but within 10 seconds after positioning them, they spun around like a marry-go-round. Both eyes instantly looked weird.

I didn’t like the fact that I had to readjust them after every shuttle shots, which was very irritating to my eyes and my brains. By the third pair of lenses, I contemplated giving up writing this post.

That being said, if I had to readjust every 10 seconds, I cannot imagine how difficult it is when I am outside and would want to avoid looking like a weirdo with my eyes appearing odd. Quite frankly, between Rain Black, Big Glowy, and Glowy Tear, the last one spun the quickest after every re-positioning.

This is also increasingly frustrating to use because there are Chinese and even Malaysian brands who now offer anti-spinning contact lenses. The Malaysian brand even went to a Korean factory to obtain their anti-spinning lenses. If that factory is so close to home with such innovation readily available, I believe Olens could achieve it as well.

Whilst the comfort and the designs are still always as good as it can be, I hope to see more of Olens design that expands outside of their current patterns. China has a lot of attractive designs but I am not buying simply because those brands did not have the same sense of security that I have with Olens.

I believe that if the combination was a success, Olens will rise to a new level of success that no other brands could ever achieve in the near future.
