Seongsudong Shopping District
Most of the store opens at 11am-1pm.
Address: Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul
서울특별시 성동구 성수동2가
Exploring Seongsudong on a whim turned out to be a bit challenging due to the scattered nature of its shops. With distances between shops ranging from 500m to 1200m, it’s essential to plan ahead or consider using Beam or taxis for easier navigation. The area is divided into distinct districts for coffee and shopping, so some pre-research can make your visit much more efficient and enjoyable.

Arriving about an hour early, we patiently waited until 10:45 am to join the queue, and I ended up being the first person in line for the day! The popularity of the store was evident, with many mentioning that most items were frequently out of stock. Fortunately, they had restocked by the time of our visit, although I was disappointed to find that the silver keychain I had my eye on was already sold out.
For those planning to split their bill to acquire more keychains, ensure that each cart includes at least one lip product to qualify for the freebie, whether it’s a pouch or a lip applicator. Unfortunately, we missed out on this opportunity. Additionally, having a Kakao account to follow them on Kakao and/or an Instagram account to follow their makeup account is necessary to be eligible for the freebies.
While there are some discounts available compared to outside prices, it’s important to note that tax refunds are not offered here.

Address: 16-20 Seoulsup 4-gil, Seongsu-dong 1(il)-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Bistro Toma served us the best oyakodon we’ve ever had in our entire lives. While the pasta was pretty good, it was the oyakodon that truly stole the show. Accompanied by side dishes and miso soup, every aspect of the meal felt like a delightful fusion, with each element complementing the other seamlessly. If you’re ever in the area, I highly recommend paying Bistro Toma a visit.

Tamburins Seongsu was bustling with people when we arrived. Even in Sinsadong, many were drawn to the giant Jenny wall advertisement. My initial plan was to buy just one item for my friend, but I found myself drawn to the white flower scents, particularly Lale. Unfortunately, they didn’t have smaller bottles for this scent, so I opted for the Lale balm instead. As much as I liked it, committing to a full bottle didn’t feel right to me. Meanwhile, my partner decided on the Holy Metal scented balm.
Seongsu Jegwa Creme Brulee
Instagram | AM 11 : 00 ~ PM 08 : 00
Address: 서울 성동구 연무장길 5
Seongsu Jegwa exudes charm with its cozy atmosphere. The cashier/staff member was not only remarkably gentle but also quite attractive, enhancing the overall experience. While the drinks were satisfactory and the creme brulee, albeit smaller than expected, was delicious, I wouldn’t necessarily deem it a must-try. However, if you’re seeking a quick respite or a pick-me-up, it’s certainly a pleasant spot to consider. In total, our expenditure amounted to ₩17,000, approximately RM62.90.

When I was searching for new age, metaphysical, or spiritual shops in Seoul, I stumbled upon a recommendation in a Reddit post. Although I hadn’t checked the pictures beforehand, upon visiting the store, I discovered that almost half of the inventory consisted of HEM products. While there were some items from different brands and countries, I also saw some palo santo pieces available. In the end, I left the store without making any purchases.
