OkinawaFinds| 3 Bedroom Apartment: D-and Stay HH.Y Resort Okinawa

While this is not a sponsored post and I have not been to the location, it is my intention to bring these interesting places to light for either future references or your convenience! This also helps me to document my future plans for said destinations. The photos are sourced from official sources or Google Maps, and the credits are stated in the caption or within the screenshot itself. I do not own the photos and they are purely for sharing purposes.

(Manifesting sponsorships to send me and my partner (hopefully my cats too!) out for traveling 😀 )

If you are having a family trip or trips with 6 pax of individuals, this location may be perfect for you. There are two parking lots for you just like any regular landed properties and you get to have the whole building to yourself! I came across this while searching for pet-friendly hotels but unfortunately, this hotel isn’t a pet-friendly location. However, let me show you why it’s a great spot!

They have a really nice and posh exterior which is completely different from the majority of the existing hotel options. Each apartment has its own privacy and you won’t have to worry about crossing boundaries! Besides, there are only 5 buildings available so it’s kind of a low-density zone. I’ll show you the surrounding later, let’s look at the interior in the meantime.

By the way, from what I’ve gathered through looking at the map, it seems like this area is mostly nursery/old folks friendly.

Interior

The interior is very cozy as well. There is enough space for everyone to hang out at the living room and the kitchen has sufficient supplies for you to cook stuff. Not to mention, the bathrooms are big as well. As I recall, it’s not easy to get a big enough location within the city. Albeit this isn’t within Naha (about 30mins away), it is still close enough of a driving distance. You also have shoe racks and closets for storing away all your outfits alongside a washing machine if you don’t want to bring too many clothes.

Okinawa isn’t a big place, so it makes sense if you’re not allowed to have parties or events. Besides, you are required to be quiet between specific hours. If you walk out of your accommodation, you will find the whole place quiet and dark. Not to worry, what I’m about to show you next will excite you a bit 😉

Family Mart right next to it!

Within a good walking distance, you can actually find Family Mart right behind the building itself! Just a mere few mins’ walk and you can get all the conbini things you want! There is a store on the left of the entrance but it’s probably closed at random hours. I have a feeling it is owned by the family right next to it. Whatever it is, I have somehow found their Facebook page and there isn’t much to see.

An Izakaya right opposite Family Mart

Goo Kitchen Izakaya (炭火居酒屋 Gooきっちん)  is a dine-in and takeaway-only charcoal BBQ restaurant which only opens after 6pm, basically what an izakaya would do. They don’t have official photos for me to use here but based on what I see, the store is very small inside and the food costs about JPY 2300-2500 on average.

A small fruit shop

Yasumura Fruits and Vegetable Shop (安村青果) is said to be selling goods that are harvested from the local farm. It’s just a few mins’ walk away from Family Mart (you can see the logo on the right side of the photo).

A cafe within a few mins’ walk!

Birdland Café (バードランドカフェ) is located right opposite the convenience store located on the left side of the hotel entrance. You will find its takeout counter facing the road. While there may be some seats inside, the cafe is actually very small. So, maybe grab a cup before you hit the road!

Another Izakaya!

When you walk further down a little and turn to your left, you will find another izakaya called Aji-jiman Main Branch (味自満本店). According to their website, there is a half-price happy hour on all Orion beer between 5pm-8pm. Looking at the google review photos, they seem to be offering quite a decent amount of food variety. There’s also a laundry store right beneath the building.

That’s all I could find within the walking distance! There could be more or some shops may close down permanently as the years go by but for now, these are the only ones available based on Google Maps. Hopefully, this is a good enough insight for you. Off to another location!
